"Metal Toxicity Causes Depression".

"Metal Toxicity Causes Depression".

Your exposure to heavy metal toxicity is coming at you from a number of different directions, and it should not be a total surprise that rates of DEPRESSION,Iinsomnia and Neurodegenerative conditions such as Autism, Bipolar-disorder are on the rise.

No Margin Of Safety.

There is no margin of safety with heavy metal toxicity, even the smallest amounts of these toxic metals can gradually build up in your soft tissues and bones, as in the crystal clear case with babies and children being deceptively given multiple toxic vaccinations that contain mercury.

That onslaught of heavy metal accumulative exposure, that may have started in your childhood, has by now resulted in many pieces of mercury and other such metals lurking in your tissues and bones, as if they are ticking time booby-traps ready to cause mayhem to your health. With some people, the health troubles emerge almost immediately after initial exposure, while for many others it is as if there is a time-lag.

You will find aluminum in popular antiperspirants and a number of cosmetics, and in the pots and pans that are in your kitchen at this minute.

Baby Bottles, Deadly Plastics and Infant Formulas.

The New York Times of April 19th, 2008 reports that the Canadian departments (known as ministries in the rest of the world except the USA, ditto for date format) of Health and Environment have (at long last) imposed a ban on plastic bottles for infants, because they are made from polycarbonate, whose main ingredient–BPA (Bisphenol-a), a widely used chemical that also mimics a human hormone, is indeed toxic.

Reader, did you notice the operative and very worrisome words, widely-used and mimics. For how long has all that been known before now?? That should bother you greatly. Do you have children, and were you once a baby?

Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York, ah yes! at times these “good” folks regain their senses and usually not for long, has risen to the occasion in defense of your health, intends to introduce a bill that would ban many uses of BPA related plastics, including non-food items, that toddlers may put in their mouths. That ban is also to include anything used to contain food or beverages, such as the use of BPA coatings inside Infant Formula cans.

There is more bad dirt. If you were to know, according to independent laboratory analyses of some of the popular infant formulas, what is in those formulas, you would start to walk through walls like those sailors on the Eldridge during the “Philadelphia Experiment”.

Reader, You Were A Child Before.

The Canadian Health Minister (secretary in USA) Tony Clemont informed the gathered reporters, that well over 150 clinical research reports, prove that use of Bisphenol-a in baby bottles causes behavioral and neural symptoms later in life. Bingo! That is hitting the nail straight on the head. Right there is one of the causative factors of DEPRESSION, bipolar disorder, autism, AD/HD, and the list continues.

And here is something else equally deadly, clinical research reports also show that very low levels of BPA do harm fish and other aquatic life.

It needs mention once again, that mercury is definitely in dental fillings and the flu shots. Bam, Bam, Gotcha!. Then there is lead in peeling paint and old water pipes.

As if that’s not enough, even CNN of april 19th/08 chimmed in, the good folks at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in New Jersey, have issued stern warnings about the health hazards of lead found in artificial turf installed at schools, parks and stadiums across the country. Now reader, just to begin with, there over 3,500 such fields in this country, and would you believe it, about 800 more are installed each year.

It is indeed scary enough that two such fields in that State, the Frank Sinatra Park at Hoboken and at the College of New Jersey in Ewing, have been put off limits after detection of unacceptably high levels of lead (as lead chromate) in the synthetic turf. According to that State’s epidemologist Dr. Eddy Breswitz, that toxic lead can easily be inhaled or even swallowed as airborne tiny fibers or dust by you or your child or anyone playing on such fields.

Lead causes brain damage and other illnesses particularly in children, and those same effects can manifest later in adulthood after hibernating, so to speak, for years.

Then there is industrial pollution, your use of pesticides, herbicides on your lawns or garden etc etc, and dare not forget the “wicked additives” in the processed foods and in the artificial beverages. Monosodium Glutumate is well known as damaging to your nervous system.

Here is a surprise for you, take a look in your bathroom. Did you know that most anti-bacterial soaps are based on a nerves-killing chemical closely related to Agent Orange?

Your continued exposure and accumulation of this toxicity over time, can lead to a varied number of symptoms like joint pain, high blood pressure and neurological disorders such as bipolar disorder or chronic depression.

The connection is clinically simple to make, but while the EPA has very very very lukewarmly, and with a velvet hammer at that, outlined exposure limits to “ensure” public safety against heavy metals, the medical mainstream has yet to fully acknowledge the threat that heavy metal toxicity poses on an everyday basis, at least to the human body. Consequently, the many subtle signs of ill-health that accumulate over time are easily mistakenly attributed to a different cause.

Reader, you can ably surmise what happens when the root cause of ill-health is not correctly identified and addressed.

In the meantime, the only universally accepted method of heavy metal detox or removal, is a complicated and expensive process known as, intravenous chelation, available only at speciality clinics, takes a lot of time and often depletes your body’s inventory of essential trace minerals.

Introducing The Clinically Safe Natural Chelator.

This natural chelator known as MCP is a complex polysaccharide in a class of polyuronides. Reader, no worries, this writer will simplify that for you shortly; and you are very familiar with it’s components except they have to be in a very specific form.

It’s molecular structure is the key to it’s abilities to bind to and eliminate heavy metals effectively and safely and in a very short time. In solution, it forms what is referred to as an egg-box, in which long negatively charged fiber chains stick together in groups that create pockets. Positively charged metal cations are attracted to these chains, and are thus loosened from your soft tissues. They then become trapped in the pockets of the egg-box from where they are very easily excreted from your body.

The effectiveness of that excretion is amazing, exactly as Mother Nature intended, because the major obstacle in the intravenous chelation modality, arises in the digestive tract. Even when an agent has managed to loosen and bind toxins from your tissues, more often than not, this process is easily nullified in your intestines, where the heavy metals are easily reabsorbed. The only way to prevent this is to somehow block re-absorption, such that all the toxins are eliminated together with your body’s waste.

This Natural Chelator Has A Mistress.

Alginates is another amazing group of polyuronides obtained from a specific type of seaweed and are historically used to treat acute radiation poisoning. Oh yes, you guessed correctly, that like MCP, the structure of the alginates enables them to trap heavy metals in pockets. So, by pairing the two in combination, the reabsorption of the toxins in the intestines is prevented.

Equally important is that neither one of this natural duo can bind to your essential trace minerals, therefore you wont be risking deficiency during the process of detox at your home.

Do bear in mind that the loosening of the heavy metals from your tissues and bones occurs in a gradual manner, clinically proven safe and efficient.

Detoxes Your Body Clean With Just Two Capsules A Day Of MCP.

Clinical reports in the Biomedical Environmental Science of Sept. 1991, yes reader that is almost two decades ago, establish a very clear connection between prolonged exposure to the toxins and the development of disease in you. Of course the medical mainstream would rather ignore or deny that connection, and then present a mis-diagnosis to keep you as a cashcow that keeps buying the useless drugs with the attendant deadly effects.

The reports clearly show that the diseases from heavy metal toxic exposure can be very effectively reversed, safely, gently, inexpensively and without any bad side effects whatsoever.

Take the example of a 63 year old female who had a history of toxic metal exposure, and consequently suffered from chronic anxiety and depression. Within two months of being administered MCP, her lead levels decreased by 100% and her mercury levels decreased by 83%. She hand’t felt better in years until MCP came along. The remainder of mercury is because her teeth carry dental fillings that are toxic. Take a look at it right here:toxic dental fillings eating you alive

Then there is a fifty seven year old male with suspected mercury exposure, and a decade long history of headaches, constipation, IBS and a family history of alzheimer’s disease. Within twelve months of using MCP his mercury levels decreased by 73%, and almost all his health complaints disappeared.

Here Is Your MCP.
MCP is here http://www.healthbodyhuman.com

You ought to note that both MCP and the mistress alginates are safe for long term use, particularly if you are facing constant exposure to heavy metals, and therefore a maintainance dosage beyond the time-interval of removing the toxins, is advisable. Also, note very carefully that MCP should be used at least two hours before or after taking any other medication, because the dietary fibers in MCP easily bind to drugs in your body and prevent their absorption

The need for this product gets more and more urgent everyday, given its swift abilities to knock out chronic diseases caused by toxicity, while also increasing your chances of recovery from any illness in the process.

MCP stands for Modified citrus pectin. Citrus pectin is a plant fiber found in the white part of the rind of citrus fruits. You may be surprised that always the best answers or solutions are the simplest. MCP has a lot more superb abilities as you will soon find out in a number of upcoming posts at this site. Complete information on Diabetes

The term diabetes comes from the Greek language, and was coined by Aretaeus of Cappadocia. It meant “a compass, siphon.” The sense “siphon” gave rise to the use of diabetes as the name for a disease involving the emancipation of excessive amounts of urine. Diabetes is first recorded in English as diabete. It was in 1675 that Thomas Willis added the word mellitus, from Latin, meaning “honey”, to this name, as a reference to the sweet taste of the urine. This sweet taste had been noticed in urine by the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese, and Indians. It was confirmed that it was due to an excessive amount of a kind of sugar in the blood and urine of people suffering from diabetes. The ancient Indians tested for diabetes by monitoring if ants were attracted to a person’s urine, and called the ailment “sweet urine disease”.
Diabetes mellitus, quite often simply called diabetes, is a condition typified by abnormally high blood sugar and disordered metabolism. It results from low levels of insulin, a hormone present in the pancreas, with or without abnormal resistance to insulin’s effects. The disorder is characterized by disproportionate urine production, excessive thirst, and abnormal increase in appetite and fluid intake, paired with blurred vision, unexplained weight loss and indolence. These symptoms may not exist if the blood sugar is only mildly elevated. They typically worsen over days to weeks. The World Health Organization acknowledges three main forms of diabetes mellitus: type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes, which occurs during pregnancy. Each of these types has different causes and mass allocations. Eventually however, all forms are caused due to the pancreatic beta cells being unable to produce sufficient insulin. Type 1 diabetes is usually due to reflexive annihilation of these pancreatic beta cells. Type 2 diabetes is set apart by insulin resistance in a particular target tissue that causes a demand for abnormally high amounts of insulin, which the beta cells cannot meet. Gestational diabetes is quite akin to type 2 diabetes in a way, for it involves insulin resistance; the hormones of pregnancy can cause insulin resistance in women who happen to be hereditarily predisposed to developing this condition.
Gestational diabetes typically resolves with delivery of the child, but types 1 and 2 diabetes are chronic ailments. All types have been curable since insulin became medically available in 1921. Type 1 diabetes, in which insulin is not secreted by the pancreas, is directly treatable only by injecting insulin, although dietary and other lifestyle adjustments are required. Type 2 may be managed with a permutation of dietary therapy, tablets, injections and insulin supplementation
Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes are at least partly inherited. Type 1 diabetes, although inherited, appears to be triggered by some infections, or in a less common group, by stress or environmental exposure to chemicals and drugs. There is a stronger inheritance archetype for type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes can cause many severe complications, which may occur if the disease is not properly controlled. Serious long-term complications include chronic renal failure, cardiovascular disease, nerve damage, retinal damage and micro vascular damage, which may cause impotence and poor healing of wounds – particularly of the feet, which can lead to gangrene, and which may require amputation. Adequate treatment of diabetes, as well as increased emphasis on blood pressure control and lifestyle factors, may improve the risk profile of most aforementioned complications. In the urbanized world, diabetes is probably the most important cause of adult blindness in relatively young people and non-traumatic amputation in adults. Despite the availability of treatment, diabetes has remained a major cause of death.

Diabetes: How to check blood sugar level yourself?

Diabetes is one of the most prevailing diseases now a day. Population of diabetic patients is increasingly dramatically since last few years. So it is very important to keep a check on diabetes. In this concern you yourself play a big role in managing your diabetes. First, you need to know how diabetes affects your body.

To Check your blood sugar regularly tells you whether your lifestyle, your physical activity, meal plans, and medicines doing a good job controlling your diabetes.

There are two easy methods to test your blood sugar level yourself. They take less than two minutes.

  • Finger-stick method
  • Noninvasive method

FINGER-STICK METHOD

Most equipment for checking blood sugar level involves pricking your finger with a tiny needle (lancet) to draw a drop of blood. Some draw the blood from your forearm. For reading your blood sugar level, you can use a blood glucose meter that will show the number on its screen.

There are many types of meters. Your doctor can help you choose one and show you how to use it. If you still have questions, check the instructions that came with your meter.

There are many Newer options also available in the market rather than a lancet for creating the tiny hole needed to draw the blood from the finger like they test blood from other less sensitive parts of the body than the fingertips
These new devices draw blood in ways similar to the finger-stick method.
To check your diabetes through finger stick method, follow these simple steps:

Step 1 – Wash your hands with warm water and dry them well with a clean towel. You can also use an alcohol wipe to clean the finger that you’ll draw blood from.
Hold your hand below your waist for a minute or so. This helps blood pool in the finger, making it easier to get enough blood for the test.

Step 2 – After preparing your lancet and glucose meter, have a clean test strip ready. Stick the side of your fingertip with the lancet. There are many kinds of lancets and meters. Some draw blood from your forearm. Your lancet and meter may not look like the one in this photo.

Step 3 – Put a drop of blood on the test strip.

Step 4 – To get your results, follow the directions that came with your blood sugar meter. Some meters can give results in a few minutes.

Step 5 -Write down the results and the time you did the test.
Mostly doctors will use these records to see how well you’re managing your blood sugar level.

NON INVASIVE METHOD

Any other blood sugar testing tool does not draw blood. You wear it on your wrist like a watch and it takes the reading through your skin. It uses a slight electrical current to pull fluid through the skin and into the machine, where it measures the sugar level.

The watch can’t replace your regular finger-stick test. But the watch lets you see trends in how your blood sugar changes over the course of the day.

There are some guidelines to heck your diabetes with noninvasive method

Some general guidelines for checking your blood sugar level are given as below

  • Wear the device for a three-hour warm-up before taking a reading. During this time, don’t bathe or swim.
  • Adjust the device by entering a blood sugar measurement that you’ve gotten by the finger-stick method every time you use the watch.
  • The device will automatically take readings every 20 minutes for up to 12 hours. It can be programmed to sound an alarm if your blood sugar reaches dangerously high or low levels.

What is the story behind pre-emption?

What is the story behind pre-emption?

Law is one of those funny things that seems to rumble along in the background to most people’s lives without them ever really thinking too much about it. Until they need it, that is. Then you find it has crept up behind you and is shouting, “Boo!” — makers of medications to treat heart attacks, please note.

So it is with the idea of pre-emption. Suppose you buy a product. Since this site talks about Zoloft, you buy some Zoloft — one of the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors used to treat depression. Now why might you buy this Zoloft? It would usually be on the advice of your regular doctor. He or she examined you and gave you a prescription for Zoloft. Now how did the subject come up in connection with your mood problems? Did you see those TV adverts a few years back, “Zoloft for everything”? Or were friends talking about it? However you or your doctor came to know about it, you bought that Zoloft.

Alongside some of the biggest brands in the world, the law lays down what is usually a simple idea — product liability. If you buy our hypothetical Zoloft and it injures you, you can sue the manufacturer and recover the money to pay for the medical bills and any other losses you suffered. The money will not take away the pain (emotional or psychological) but it can help you feel better. I can just hear those little wheels turning over in your brain — the millions who have died from smoking tobacco or that nice little old lady, Stella Liebeck, who was burned by hot coffee from McDonald’s. Well suppose you actually took Zoloft and it injured you, you could sue. I mean, Zoloft is a product, right?

Well, the latest example of the “three strikes and you’re out” rule is currently playing in the Supreme Court. Some lawmakers have been giving the pharmaceutical companies immunity from liability unless they defrauded the Food and Drug Administration. I can see how impressed you are. The FDA is there to protect your interests. If a medication or a medical device is not fit to be allowed out on the market, the FDA can refuse to approve it, put black box warnings on the label or withdraw the medication/device from the market. So, the argument goes that if the experts at the FDA approve a medication or a device, that pre-empts your right to use product liability laws to claim damages. Unless the manufacturer deceived the FDA, of course.

So the first strike came in in February, 2008 Riegel v. Medtronic, Inc. where the Justices held that the pre-emption clause in the Medical Device Amendments of 1976 bars common law claims for injuries caused by a medical device approved by the FDA. Then came Warner-Lambert v. Kent in March where the Justices tied 4-4 on the validity of a Michigan law barring suits against drug companies for FDA-approved products. So now we are waiting for the decision in Wyeth v. Levine which is due to be heard this autumn. This deals with whether the failure of a manufacturer to warn the FDA that one of their products may be dangerous amounts to fraud and so allows the product liability claim. Put another way: suppose that the makers of Zoloft knew that their medication could harm you, but did not tell anyone about it. Should you be allowed to sue?

It sounds so simple. They should be liable because they knew it was dangerous. McDonald’s had 700 customers being burned by their hot coffee and did not serve it cool or warn people. If Zoloft is dangerous, it should be a slum-dunk case against the makers. Yet the lawmakers in various states around the US have been busy protecting pharmaceutical companies from just this kind of action. It makes the game of politics and special interests all the more interesting to watch. How do you want the Supreme Court to rule?

Mug Online: Eight Ways to Battle Acne

Mug Online: Eight Ways to Battle Acne

Bacne.

Cute name but it’s no laughing matter for guys who have to put up with irritating bouts of acne on their back, shoulders, and neck. What makes it worse is that this condition usually results when you do something that’s actually good for you: exercise. Here are eight ways to control back acne, without giving up your exercise regime.

1. Take a shower immediately after exercising or sweating heavily. Don’t wear sweaty clothes any longer than necessary.

2. Exfoliate your skin with a MenScience’s micromesh Body Buff Gloves when you shower to remove dead skin cells.

3. Wash irritated skin with a salicylic acid soap or a beta hydroxy body wash. Because these ingredients can dry out your skin, only wash broken-out areas with them and use regular soap for the rest of your body.

4. Benzyl peroxide works great as a topical solution for drying up annoying blemishes. But make sure it dries completely before you put on a shirt to avoid stains on clothes.

5. Light cotton and cotton blends are good exercise clothes since they are breathable and allow oxygen to interact with the skin. But if you sweat a lot, cotton can trap sweat and clog pores on your back. Try wearing synthetic fabrics with mesh-like weaves to pull sweat from your skin’s surface. And remember to keep it loose: the point is for air to be able to get to your pores.

6. Long, sweaty hair can aggravate acne if it hangs on or brushes your skin a lot. Consider getting a trim, or at least finding a way to pull it off your back when exercising.

7. Sunlight seems to clear acne up, but the sun’s rays can also damage skin and darken scars and marks permanently. Cover up as much as you can when outdoors and slap on some sunscreen when you go shirt-less. Try a non-greasy sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher, like MenScience TiO2 Sunblock to stay protected without clogging pores.

8. Make sure helmets, backpacks, and other protective exercise gear fit you. Constant rubbing from loose articles can cause skin irritations.

Understanding Diabetes

So you or someone in your family has just been diagnose with diabetes. Maybe you or your family member has been living with diabetes for several years now. Just want to let you know I feel your pain on a personal level. A family member of mind were diagnose 5 years ago with the disease.

What exactly is diabetes well I will cover the basics with you. Just want to touch basis and make sure we all understand the basics of diabetes. We probably all know by now that there are two types of diabetes. There is a type 1 and a type 2. Type 1 usually occurs in younger people. Type 1 is also known as Juvenile diabetes. Type 2 usually occurs within older adults, but don’t think it’s not possible for the young to get type 2. What actually causes type 1 diabetes is not really known. Doctors believe that it might be genetic. Now type 2 diabetes on the other hand is a little different. Type 2 diabetics can control their blood glucose by taking oral medication and managing their diets. That is not the case for all type 2 diabetics so have to control their diabetes with insulin injections. Taking oral medication is not an option for type 1 diabetics instead they are dependent upon insulin injections. One thing I would like to say is not to believe everything you hear. As was mention earlier, the rumor that was taught to me was that eating to many sweets will cause you to have diabetes. That is definitely proven to be a myth for type 1 diabetes. My son was one and he didn’t even have a chance to start eating foods that was high in glucose. Not here to preach; know that the doctor provided you with enough education at the time of diagnosis.

Diabetes and Eyes

Diabetes and eye have a very strong relation. Diabetes can affect the eyes and vision in a number of ways. The high blood glucose, can damage many parts of the body, such as the heart, blood vessels, brain, and kidneys (as commonly known). Diabetes can affect the eyes also and in a similar fashion.

The parts of the eye which are affected by diabetes are: –
Retina – The retina is the lining at the back of the eye. The retina’s job is to sense light coming into the eye.
Vitreous – The vitreous is a jelly-like fluid that fills the back of the eye, in front of the retina.
Lens – The lens is at the front of the eye. It focuses light on the retina.
Optic nerve – The optic nerve is the eye’s main nerve to the brain.
Eye muscles.

Retinal damage:
Retina damage happens slowly. Diabetes affects the small vessels of the retina in the eye. First, these tiny blood vessels swell and weaken causing leakage. Severe damage can present as bleeding in the eye. Initial retinal changes might not cause and visual changes, but later on can present as blurring of vision.

Symptoms seen when retina starts getting involved are :
Blurry or double vision
Rings, flashing lights or blank spots
Dark or floating spots
Trouble seeing things out of the corners of your eyes

Treatment for this is retinal laser in mild cases and surgery in severe retinopathy.
Lens damage:
Cataract (saphed motia) is a normal aging phenomenon. In patients with diabetes are 60% more likely to develop this eye condition in younger age. Treatment for this is surgery by Phacoemulsification (sitchless cataract surgery).

Optic nerve damage:
Glaucoma (kala motia) if not treated can damage the optic nerve and cause permanent decrease in vision. Patents with diabetes are 40% more likely to suffer from glaucoma than people without diabetes. Treatment for glaucoma is medical and surgical depending on the severity.

Eye muscles and nerves:
Occasionally paralysis of one of the eye muscles can cause squinting of the eye (mostly outwards) or can cause facial nerve palsy, which presents as incomplete closure of the eye. Mostly the nerve and muscle involvement recovers in six months.

How can the effect of diabetes are reduced on eye:
A strict diabetic control
6 monthly complete check-up of the eye
Regular exercise
Weight control
Control of other chronic diseases like hypertension, high blood cholesterol etc

Eyes are the windows to the effect of diabetes on all body organs like heat, brain, kidney, liver etc. The amount of damage in the eye is symmetrical to the effect on all the other body organs. So a strict diabetic control is very important.

Jacobsen techniques of relaxation

The Jacobsen relaxation techniques are also referred to as progressive muscles relaxation. They are techniques to manage stress, and were developed in 1920s by Edmund Jacobsen. He stated that muscle tension goes hand-in-hand with anxiety, and by reducing the muscle tension, anxiety can be reduced as well. This is a very famous method, and many therapists vouch for it and
follow Jacobsen’s techniques to date.

You can follow Jacobsen’s methods of handling and managing stress, and relax your muscles, right from the comfort of your home. Jacobsen’s technique is basically a 2-step process, and involves relaxing and tensing various muscles.

With continuous practice, you will understand which muscles are directly linked to relaxation, and which have a close connection to stress and anxiety.

You will also come to know which muscles you need to relax to overcome stress.

Deep breathing is an exercise that can be used simultaneously with the Jacobsen’s techniques of relaxation. As said earlier, the primary concern of
Jacobsen’s relaxation technique is to tense and then relax the muscles at a point of time. Deep breathing can be performed while you inhale while the contraction of your muscles take place, and exhale while they are being
relaxed.

You must take utmost care that the clothing you have put on is very comfortable. Also try not to keep the footwear on, which will account for better relaxation. Relax yourself, and take deep breaths. Don’t concentrate on any issues while you do that. Once this is done, you can commence Jacobsen’s relaxation techniques. It is generally recommended to begin from the feet and move upwards. The start should be made from the right foot, then proceed to the left, and then to the calves, thighs and so on.

To gain the most out of this exercise, focus primarily on the group of muscles you are working on. When you tense those muscles, you must inhale, be steady for about 10 seconds, and then slowly start exhaling as those muscles are relaxed, till they feel loosened up. This process should be repeated as you work right till the upper part of your body.

As a recommendation, the muscles listed below can be worked with: feet, calves, thighs, buttocks, stomach, lower back, biceps, triceps, hands, neck and face, i.e., from the bottom to the top. The pattern may be tampered with,
but following it brings continuity.

The basic fundament behind Jacobsen’s relaxation techniques is to get yourself familiar with which muscles are used while you are tensed, and relaxed. This will make you realize which area to take care of when you feel stressed.

Diabetic titles from award-winning cookbook authors. by Nztip

Although many people diagnosed with diabetes initially worry about the future, there is no reason why with a properly regulated diet, they cannot enjoy a good healthy life. As with many things that are good for you in life, there is a payback and diabetes is no different, and it will be necessary to alter the foods you may be used too. To start with you will need to sort out your own diabetic diet plan using diabetic recipes that most appeal to your tastes.

One of the hardest things to do will be to stick with your diabetic diet to shed those unnecessary pounds as maintaining your weight is extremely important when you’re a diabetic. One of the best ways to follow a diabetic diet is to eat foods that are from all of the four basic food groups.

For a diabetic, eating healthily and sticking to their diabetic diet plan means that they will usually lower the chances of heart disease and stroke which are two complications associated with their condition. A diabetic diet using specially formulated diabetic recipes which are essentially a healthy, low-fat, balanced eating plan that helps the patient feel better and more energetic, and achieve some control over the symptoms like fatigue, thirst, blurred vision.

A healthy diabetic menu is concerned with eating a balanced diet of non-fat dairy foods, lean meat, poultry, fish, whole grains, fruit, vegetables and beans. In diabetic, low-carb diets, the foods that are approved are meats, fish, poultry, eggs and cheese and certain vegetables like kidney beans, carrots, avocados. Diabetic recipes should include foods that are low in saturated fats and cholesterol, such as skinless poultry, fresh fruit, and vegetables as previously mentioned.

Weighing your food when you’re on a diabetic diet is as important as the foods you consume, so that you receive the correct amount of calories. Using the food labels in the supermarkets will also become second nature when you are preparing your diabetic recipes as they contain useful information, usually based on a diet of 2,000 calories per day.

If you have been prescribed 2,000 calories per day on your diabetic diet plan then for breakfast you may be allowed some sugar free yoghurt or skimmed milktwo slices of bread or alternatively pasta or rice cakes plus an egg and some fruit. However, if a lower 1,800 calorie per day has been advised for your diabetic diet plan then your diabetic recipes book might suggest something like a cup of skimmed milk, a tablespoon of cheese, a couple of slices of bread and a serving of fruit.

In the afternoon a snack might consist of a half cup of tea or coffee with artificial sweeteners a couple of crackers and some more fruit. Alternatively, to vary your diabetic diet you could always have a cup of skimmed milk or yoghurt to replace the tea or coffee. Diabetic diets using specially formulated diabetic recipes can be just as interesting as a normal diet but you just have to know what you are allowed to eat and vary your menus to keep them interesting.
